Lazare Milvan

Lazare Milvan is a Бретон noble who lives in a large house in Скинград. He is a wealthy and arrogant man who thinks that the player is of low birth.

Lazare leads a secluded and relaxing life. He wakes up at 6am every morning, and spends most of the day wandering around his house. At 8pm he takes a two hour supper, before going to bed at midnight.

He wears typical upper class clothing: a green brocade doublet with matching green silk garment and green velvet shoes. He carries a silver longsword, a sizable amount of gold, leveled jewelry, and his key.

Lazare's home is located in the northern section of Skingrad, next to Nerastarel's house and across the street from All Things Alchemical. As befits his status, he owns a rich and spacious manor on two floors. The first floor serves as dining room and, alongside delicate food and silverware, a sizable collection of Tamika and Surilie wines can be found lying just about everywhere. The cupboard near the fireplace has a good chance of containing a bottle of Surilie Brothers and Tamika vintage wines. The door near the stairs leads to a large basement complete of a bearskin rug, the usual food and drink and a rather unusual and very powerful rat.

The landing between the two floors holds more silverware, books and wine while the second floor consists of Lazare's bedroom. Like the rest of the house, the containers here contain nothing but the usual food and clutter, except for a small jewerly box atop the cupboard on the western wall; which unsuprinsigly contains one or two jewelry pieces and has a small chance (10% each) of containing a potion or an enchanted jewelry piece. Various pieces of upper class clothing are placed around the room and the valuable book Provinces of Tamriel is on a bookshelf. On a nearby desk are 9 gold coins, 2 empty petty Камни душ and a bottle of cyrodilic brandy. In an adjacent open cupboard is a collection of swords: an iron longsword, a steel dagger, a steel shortsword, a steel longsword and a silver shortsword.

When you first meet Lazare, he will say: "You have obviously made a mistake. Sir Lazare Milvan would never speak with someone of your low birth. You are obviously of low birth. Unless you dispute my judgement... and you would press your suit at the end of a sword." Too which you may reply by denying his claim of your origins: "I am not of low birth." Or you can excuse yourself from the conversation by saying; "Excuse me." If you chose the former he will reply by demanding that you leave or that you fight him in a duel: "You contradict me. This conversation is tiresome. Leave me. Or draw your sword." If you chose the latter he will claim that you must leave if you wish to live: "I'm afraid I cannot. Leave me, and I will spare you." Speaking to him again after your initial encounter will reveal that he has not changed his attitude towards you, which is evident when he greets you with: "You are talking again. You will stop." He will then exit out of conversation.

Lazare’s snobbish and obnoxious attitude has not been lost on his fellow Skingrad residents, who may be heard saying to each other:

"I heard Lazare Milvan challenged someone else to a duel. The man is ridiculous."

"He's a moron. One of these days, he'll be taught a lesson."

"I've had about enough of Sir Lazare. He thinks he's so much better than everyone else."

"What a fool. I hope he's happy with himself."

  • Although he challenges you to a duel, attacking him still counts as a crime.
  • Lazare's basement contains a leveled and unusually strong rat. The damage it deals and its health increase drastically with your level. Unlike standard rats, it is not a member of the Creature faction and therefore may possibly not attack you on sight. There is no apparent reason for the rat's presence in the basement. In the construction set, this rat is identified as "TestBasementRat", and therefore may have been added for testing purposes and never removed.
